Give-a-gift to a needy pet

dog collar and leadThis is a plea for dog and cat lovers to make donations to help hungry, needy pets in Sea Vista.

Here’s what we need to make the lives of these animals lives  more comfortable and safe.

Dog kennel – these kennels are purchased for welfare societies from a belting manufacturer in Port Elizabeth who makes sturdy, indestructible, weatherproof rubber shelters for outdoor dogs and cats.  A donation of R200.00 will allow you to sponsor one of these kennels for a needy animal. Give-a-gift now

Dog collars & dog leads – you can buy one of each for a donation of R200.00. Many dogs brought to our outreach arrive with string, rope or chain tied around their necks to serve as collars and leads. These restraints are often too tight and cut into the dog’s neck creating painful sores. Give-a-gift now

Running Leads – a donation of R350.00 will purchase a running lead to allow dogs to be released from chains and given freedom of movement, whilst still being securely tethered. (A running lead consists of two poles, cemented into the ground, joined by a lightweight cable strung between poles and attached to a lead and collar.) Give-a-gift now

Drinking bowl, dog/cat blanket –  for a donation of  R100.00 you can purchase a bowl and a warm, cosy blanket for Sea Vista dogs and cats. Give-a-gift now

Dog/Cat Food – as you may imagine, we are always in need of food to stock township shops with discounted pellets for dogs and cats – and to feed hungry animals at our weekly outreaches. Any donation – from R100 to R1 000 will be gratefully received and used to replenish our stocks of nutritious pet food. Give-a-gift now
